The Arizona Cardinals, along with the rest of the NFL, are just a couple of weeks away from the 2021 draft. General manager Steve Keim and his cohorts will be aiming to add a group of youngsters who have what it takes to play in the league. On Thursday, the Cards got a head start on that task by signing five prospects who are also hoping to find their way onto a professional football team’s roster.

One of the players acquired by the Cardinals was Darece Roberson, a speedy wide receiver out of Wayne State University. The smallish pass-catcher (5’9, 170) hauled in 34 passes for 706 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior for the Warriors back in 2019. Roberson, who ran a 4.35 second 40-yard dash back on March 30th, also excelled as a kick-return specialist during his college career.

Tavien Feaster, a running back who played for two different college teams, has also inked a deal with Arizona. In three seasons at Clemson University, the 5’11, 221 pounder rumbled for 1,330 yards and 15 scores on the ground in 38 games for the Tigers. As a senior at the University of South Carolina in ’19, Feaster racked up 672 rushing yards and five touchdowns in 10 appearances for the Gamecocks.

Another free agent who joined the Cards on Thursday was Andre Baccellia, a wideout who has spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots. The 5’10,175 pounder played his college ball at the University of Washington, catching 107 balls for 1,183 yards and five receiving touchdowns for the Huskies. Baccellia also added another 119 yards and a touchdown on the ground for the school.

Ryan Bee, a defensive lineman who played for Marshall University, has also flocked to the desert. The 6’7, 280 pounder totaled 200 tackles (29.5 for a loss), 18 sacks and seven passes defensed in 44 contests for the Thundering Herd. Bee appeared in one matchup for the Washington Football Team back in ’19, registering one assisted tackle for the franchise.

Jamell Garcia-Williams, a linebacker who spent two years at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, has also landed with the Redbirds. The 6’8, 245 pounder, who has made the transition from defensive lineman, made 15 appearances during his two campaigns with the Blazers. Garcia-Williams was credited with 44 tackles, 9.5 sacks and four pass breakups during his days at the school.
