Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray workouts questioned again

More questions are being raised about where Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is choosing to work out this offseason.

At what point does it become tiring to hate on Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray for his workout ethic?  Pro Football Talk decided to enter that arena again on Tuesday and it’s getting old already.

They decided to run on Albert Breer’s mention on Monday of how Murray hasn’t worked out with the Cardinals yet this offseason.  Ok, maybe not physically in Arizona but certainly, he has worked out with teammates, something Mike Florio even mentions in his article today.

A couple of weeks ago you’ll remember a member of one of the Cardinals competing fan sites sent out a tweet questioning Murray and his work ethic.  That spread like wildfire and then of course there was the usual backtrack.

However, there seems to be a sentiment nationally like this should be something to be viewed as negative for Cardinals fans. My biggest question is why?

Murray responded to that tweet basically saying just because we haven’t seen a video of him working out doesn’t mean a thing. Now this comes out this week.

Listen, as long as Murray is at the mandatory camps and training camp, this shouldn’t even be a discussion.  Murray doesn’t live in Arizona full time.  He’s clearly working out, just not here, and no, we don’t need to see videos of him doing it.

The Florio article also points to him maybe wanting to opt-out of a new contract once his rookie deal is up because he knows as a guy who can switch to baseball anytime, he’s got the upper hand.

Murray has never once hinted he wants to be anywhere but Arizona for years to come.  If he changes his mind or says something publicly down the road, then so be it.

For now, he’s under contract with the Cardinals. He can’t go anywhere for at least the next two years.  Let’s worry about 2021 and 2022 and see where we are then.
