The first Arizona Cardinals depth chart of the season was released this week.

One of the things Arizona Cardinals fans look forward to the most once training camp and the preseason get going is the release of the first unofficial 2021 depth chart. Fans got their wish this week as we got our first look at what will be an ever-changing depth chart.

When you are dealing with 90 players, the depth chart is a little overrated to start with, especially in the first week. You know it will change several times before we even make it to the regular-season opener on September 12 against the Tennessee Titans.

However, it gives us a rough idea of where coaches feel like the players currently fall. There are always some surprises, enough that it’s worthy to talk about.

Keep in mind what you see today is likely to be different come Monday after Friday night’s preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys. Don’t get too attached to what you see right now.

These are the five biggest takeaways from the current Cardinals depth chart worth mentioning though leading up to preseason Week 1. Also, remember the number of names on the depth chart will reduce to 85 on August 17, 80 on August 24, and 53 on August 31st.
