McCoy is the No. 2 quarterback

At this point who is No. 2 may not matter all that much. With Kyler Murray the sure regular-season starter, the competition is really for the No. 2 spot.

Colt McCoy is in competition with last year’s No. 2, Chris Streveler. Streveler saw a lot of action in the 2020 season finale at the Los Angeles Rams.

The Cardinals were fighting for a playoff spot, and Streveler didn’t play all that well despite his stats showing he threw one touchdown and had one interception. He also fumbled once.

However, he was good enough to retain and allow the Cardinals to see Brett Hundley fly away. Now, Streveler is trying to grab the backup spot from the 12-year veteran, McCoy.

You will see a lot of both of them over the next three weeks, however. There is a good chance both are kept on the final roster. Murray will start Friday’s game, but he won’t play much, so we will get a shot to see them quickly this week.
