5 tight ends the Cardinals could pursue before 2021 season-opener

The Arizona Cardinals can still fill the sizable hole at the tight end position before the season gets underway next month.
The 2021 NFL campaign is now just three weeks away, and the Arizona Cardinals still have a fairly significant hole in the roster that remains unfilled.
Arizona‘s current tight end group, to put it kindly, is nothing to get excited about. Maxx Williams, a seventh-year pro who caught a measly eight passes last year, is listed as the starter. The Cards’ top backups at the position (Darrell Daniels, Demetrius Harris, Ross Travis) are mediocre performers at best.
The situation appears to be bleak, but there’s still time for Cardinals general manager Steve Keim to address the weakness. The following are five veteran tight ends that the club could attempt to acquire in a trade before the season gets underway on September 12.
