The Arizona Cardinals roster must be trimmed to 53 players by Tuesday at 1 p.m. MST.

With a month of training camp and just two preseason games under their belt, it’s time for the Arizona Cardinals to make some decisions. It’s roster cut-down time in the NFL when all 32 teams must be at the regular season 53-man limit by Tuesday afternoon.

There will be some interesting decisions to be made. Guys like receivers Andy Isabella and Greg Dortch and cornerback Tay Gowan didn’t get that third preseason game to give the coaches one final look before decision time.

Keep in mind that some of these guys that get cut by Tuesday could end up back on the Cardinals practice squad or another team’s practice squad. Also, what you see after 1 p.m. on Tuesday may not necessarily be what the roster looks like when the team opens the season on September 12 on the road against the Tennessee Titans.

Arizona, like every other team, will be scouring the waiver wire for other teams’ cuts to fill possible holes on their roster. You can count on likely roster movement up until the Week 1 start date. That said, let’s take a look at what the Cardinals’ 53-man roster for 2021 could initially look like.
