As the Arizona Cardinals ready themselves for the third season of Kliff Kingsbury’s regime, they must make the playoffs.

After going 1-1 in preseason that Mother Nature decided to end early, can the Arizona Cardinals end their playoff drought after six seasons? A lot has come into question for the team. From Kyler Murray‘s ” I can do without” approach to the preseason to Zaven Collins getting the starting role.

State Farm stadium should be rocking this year after such limited attendance. The “Red Sea” has been credited with forcing the most false starts since 2008-2016. Expect those Cardinals fans to be even louder in 2021.

In the NFC West, a playoff spot is not always a sure thing. It’s the toughest division in the league, and the team that does lay claim to the title of division champs holds a lot of weight heading towards the playoffs.

With less than two weeks before the Cardinals fly east to take on the Tennessee Titans, here’s a final regular-season record prediction for each game.

Week 1

Tennessee Titans (Away)

  • Date: Sunday, September 12
  • Time: 10 a.m. MST
  • TV: CBS

What was once thought of as an instant loss has now become a game that this Cardinals squad can win. Tennessee had issues with COVID-19 last year, and this year is no different. Just before their final preseason game, the team had nine players on the COVID-19/reserve list. That also included head coach Mike Vrabel.

While we wish all a speedy recovery and as few symptoms as possible, Arizona has a chance to steal the win on the road, especially if Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill is out. Julio Jones was acquired in the offseason and Derrick (King) Henry are weapons an offense can only dream of. We’ll see if Vance Joseph can shut them down.

Prediction: Cardinals win (1-0)
