The Arizona Cardinals might have put together their single best game under coach Kliff Kingsbury on the road against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1.

The road victory by the Arizona Cardinals was the talk of the NFL from the early slate of games in Week 1. A 38-13 win over the Tennessee Titans put the league and sports pundits on notice with some dominant performances on both sides of the ball by the Cardinals.

Arizona pass rusher Chandler Jones and a young secondary outperformed expectations. Third-year Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray showed that he can be exceptional when his offensive line protects him. And Arizona head coach Kliff Kingsbury even exceeded expectations after a shaky opening drive.

National NFL analysts did not expect the Cardinals to win this game and almost all of them predicted a Titans victory in Week 1. This isn’t without reason. Tennessee has been in the playoffs the past two years and they have one of the league’s best running backs and wide receiver groups. However, the new-look Arizona defense proved itself up to the task and secured a surprisingly dominant win.

So what are the biggest takeaways from the Cardinals beginning their 2021 season with a win?
