By Adam Patrick
The Arizona Cardinals sent a strong message to the rest of the NFL on Sunday as they cruised to an easy victory over the previously unbeaten Los Angeles Rams.
With wins in their first three games against teams with a combined record of 3-9 this season, the Arizona Cardinals knew their first true test of the 2021 campaign was going to take place on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
Well, not only did the Cardinals end up passing the test against their divisional rival, they made it look incredibly easy.
Arizona walked off the field inside SoFi Stadium on Sunday with their unbeaten record still intact after demolishing the Rams by a final score of 37-20. With their win over Los Angeles and the Seattle Seahawks also defeating the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the Cardinals are now in sole possession of first place in the NFC West.
Arizona Cardinals make a statement with easy win over the Los Angeles Rams
There’s a chance that after Monday night’s matchup between the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers, Arizona could stand as the only undefeated team left in the NFL.
Would this mean that the Cardinals would be considered the best team in the league after four weeks? Everyone probably won’t jump on board with this idea, but Sunday’s victory at least cements Arizona in the current discussion about the top teams in the NFL after the first four weeks.
On Sunday, the Cardinals got great performances out of Kyler Murray, A.J. Green, James Conner, Chase Edmonds, Matt Prater, Byron Murphy Jr., Jalen Thompson, and many more.
Heading into this weekend’s matchup, all the talk was about the Rams and how impressive they’ve looked so far this season with Matthew Stafford as their new quarterback.
Well, Arizona just went into Los Angeles’ home building and delivered a royal beating. So during the next few days, it’s time for the Cardinals to get the attention they deserve.
