Kyler Murray continued his brilliant play for the Arizona Cardinals during their Week 4 victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

Just last week, several Las Vegas sportsbooks made Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray the odds-on favorite to win this year’s Most Valuable Player award. The dynamic signal-caller has taken his game to an elite level this season, and those who follow the NFL are certainly starting to take notice.

Murray continued his impressive play this past Sunday during Arizona’s 37-20 dismantling of the Los Angeles Rams. The Cards had not beaten their NFC West rival since 2016, but the 24-year old Murray helped the team put an end to that ugly streak.

It was an almost flawless performance by Murray, who seems to be brimming with confidence thus far in 2021. Los Angeles’ vaunted defensive unit had no answer for the passer, who used both his arm and legs during the squad’s lopsided triumph.

The 5-foot-10, 207-pound Murray got things rolling early, when he hit veteran wide receiver A.J. Green for a 41-yard touchdown with 5:50 left in the first quarter. It capped off a six-play, 87-yard march to the end zone that took just 3:07 off of the clock. A pretty 25-yard strike from Murray to wideout DeAndre Hopkins helped to set up the score.

Early in the second quarter, Murray recorded his second scoring toss of the contest. Maxx Williams ran a seam route up the middle of the field, and Murray lofted a perfect 14-yard pass to the tightly-covered tight end. The hookup gave the Cardinals a 14-10 advantage, and head coach Kliff Kingsbury’s group would never trail again.

When the matchup was over, Murray had completed 24 of his 32 throws for 268 yards and the two scores. The Texas native did damage on the ground as well, running for 39 yards on his six scampers out of the backfield.
