After their loss last week, the Arizona Cardinals will go on the road to face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9.

The Arizona Cardinals are banged up this week, with quarterback Kyler Murray and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins on the most recent injury report. In their matchup against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Arizona may also be without receiver A.J. Green, another key contributor, who recently tested positive for COVID-19.

Other notable names on this week’s injury report include running back Chase Edmonds, linebacker Zaven Collins, and offensive lineman Justin Pugh, who had seen limited participation as of Wednesday. Murray will probably be a game-time decision, even if he insists he’s ready to go for the upcoming contest.

Since the Cardinals are so banged up, they will need something bold to happen against the 49ers, who are coming off of a 33-22 win over the Chicago Bears and are in win-now mode if they want to stay in playoff contention. Another knock for an Arizona team that likes to play down to their competition and they didn’t exactly play inspiring football the last time these two teams met back in Week 5.

Can the Cardinals make enough happen to get back on track with a win this week? Or, will they succumb to the number of injuries impacting their starters?
