When they face off at home against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, which matchups favor the Arizona Cardinals the most?

In 2020, the Arizona Cardinals let the Carolina Panthers slip away from them from the first quarter in their Week 4 meeting, so we can call this one a revenge game. However, the Cardinals may be without starting quarterback Kyler Murray, and no, Cam Newton will not play in this one for the Panthers.

Even if Murray misses another contest, Arizona has a few advantages coming into this one. They already showed, for at least a week, they can win with backups at multiple primary positions like quarterback, running back (though it’s getting tougher to call James Conner the RB2 these days), and receiver.

For another, following a 3-0 start in which their defense dominated, the Panthers have since imploded, dropping five of their last six, and their defense has allowed 20 or more points in all five losses.

Sure, the Cardinals love to make things interesting with lesser opponents, a bad habit that started in 2020. But the advantages in this one are plenty.
