3 Bold Predictions: Arizona Cardinals vs. Chicago Bears – Week 13
By Sion Fawkes
Cardinals defense holds Bears to under 100 passing yards
If the Cardinals return from the bye week healthier, they figure to build a sizable lead against the Bears, who will throw often. Too bad the Cardinals, as of Week 13, boast the league’s third-best pass defense.
Want more fun? The Cardinals have also allowed the fifth-worst passer rating at 86.5. They are fourth in passing yards allowed per game at 204.0. And overall on defense, they have allowed just a 3.8 touchdown percentage, tied for sixth in the league with the Dallas Cowboys.
Despite such stellar numbers, it’s a challenge to hold a team to fewer than 100 passing yards. But the Cleveland Browns accomplished this feat in Justin Fields’ debut when they held him and the Bears’ offense to one passing yard.
Although Andy Dalton has been given the nod over Fields (ribs) this week, the Bears have a plethora of injuries to deal with, including Allen Robinson and Cole Kmet. Neither of them practiced on Wednesday, and Kmet was limited on Thursday.
