The Pro Bowl roster that was announced this past Wednesday includes four productive performers from the Arizona Cardinals.

The Arizona Cardinals got off to a fantastic start during the current campaign, and their outstanding play did not go unnoticed by the Pro Bowl voters.

When the final ballots were tallied, four members of the Cards roster were handed one of the NFL’s most prestigious honors. James Conner, Budda Baker, Kyler Murray, and Chandler Jones were all rewarded for what they’ve accomplished this season. But that wasn’t the only good news that came Arizona’s way regarding the contest that will take place in Las Vegas on February 6th.

No fewer than nine additional Cardinals were chosen to be alternates for the league’s annual Pro Bowl event. That group consists of Zach Ertz, Markus Golden, Matt Prater, DeAndre Hopkins, Rodney Hudson, Byron Murphy, D.J. Humphries, Andy Lee, and Max Garcia.

Out of the four Redbirds who’ve been chosen for this season’s Pro Bowl, Conner’s story is by far the most impressive. The 26-year-old running back, who overcame cancer while at the University of Pittsburgh in 2015, has tallied 16 touchdowns in 14 matchups for the Cards. Conner will earn just $1.75 million this fall, making him one of the biggest bargains of this year’s free-agent class.

Murray’s Pro bowl nomination is already the quarterback’s second of a pro career that began back in 2019. The 23-year-old’s superb play this fall made him an MVP candidate for most of the campaign, but an ankle injury that cost him three games may ultimately cost him that award.

Baker, a safety who entered the league back in 2017, has already been a Pro Bowler four times. The 25-year-old has been one of the top players at his position over the past three seasons.

Jones, a sack-specialist who was snubbed several times by the Pro Bowl voters, has now received the accolade four times. The 31-year-old outside linebacker recorded a whopping five sacks during Arizona’s opening-day victory over the Tennessee Titans.
