A.J. Green – WR
A.J. Green– where to begin? It’s not like there were enormous expectations for Green, the former longtime-Cincinnati Bengal. However, Green hasn’t done much to inspire hope that he still has it. Green made the crucial catch late in the game against the Green Bay Packers but couldn’t make the one that counted at the buzzer.
On top of that, Green has made three drops and two critical interceptions when he was targeted this year. On top of that, Green has jumped to make catches that don’t require it and has also cost him yards after the net.
It just doesn’t feel like Green goes out onto the field with any urgency, and the Cardinals find themselves in a suddenly-shallow wide receiving corps that hasn’t done much scoring over the past few games.
Whether one or all four of these players get benched, the fact is that the Cardinals can still win the NFC West, albeit with some help. Let’s hope that happens.
