In their final road matchup of the 2021 season, the Arizona Cardinals snapped their three-game losing streak with a win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
With less than six minutes remaining in the second quarter during Sunday’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray found wide receiver Antoine Wesley in the back of the end zone for a one-yard touchdown.
That score put Arizona ahead 10-0 over the Cowboys and it set the tone for the rest of the contest as the Cardinals were able to leave the field inside AT&T Stadium with a 25-22 victory.
With the win, Arizona was able to improve their record to 11-5, including 8-1 in games outside of their home stadium.
Arizona Cardinals still have a chance to win NFC West with win over Dallas Cowboys
Sunday’s victory not only snapped a three-game losing streak for the Cardinals, but it also kept them alive in the race for the NFC West title with the Los Angeles Rams.
Unfortunately, the Rams defeated the Baltimore Ravens this weekend, so all Los Angeles has to do next week to win the division is get a victory over the San Francisco 49ers (who have won six of their last eight games).
But if the Rams lose to the 49ers and Arizona is able to defeat the Seattle Seahawks, then the Cardinals would finish the season atop the NFC West for the first time since 2015.
The Seahawks put up 51 points in an easy win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday. However, Seattle’s 2021 team with a 6-10 record is nothing like some of their squads from the recent past, so Arizona ending their 2021 campaign with a victory is very believable.
