4 free agents who the Cardinals could move on from in 2022

Corey Peters – DT
For the past six years, Corey Peters has been a valuable component of the Arizona defensive line. The 6-foot-3, 335-pound run-stuffer signed as a free agent back in 2015, but his return to the squad next fall is highly questionable at the present time.
The 33-year-old Peters, who’s currently playing under a one-year deal, has not been producing at a level that would justify the Cards granting him an extension. The defensive tackle makes a play here and there, but Peters’ days as a consistent contributor are more than likely over.
Keeping Peters around for another year could also be a hindrance to the development of young linemen like Leki Fotu and Rashard Lawrence. There’s a very good chance that the veteran’s days with “Big Red” are rapidly coming to an end.
