A.J. Green and the passing attack of the Arizona Cardinals helped expose Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs during Sunday’s matchup.

Early in the first quarter on Sunday, Kyler Murray saw A.J. Green running down the sideline wide open, putting Trevon Diggs on skates. What should’ve been a touchdown throw, Murray threw up a total duck of a ball, and Diggs tackled Green inside the five. However, the damage was done, and social media took note of it.

Twitter was ablaze with just how badly this looked in real-time, and then the statheads came out on top of this.

The savvy veteran Green smoked Diggs so bad that the NFL world is realizing just because he has 11 interceptions on the season doesn’t mean he’s the NFL’s best corner (he leads the NFL with over 1,000 yards allowed when targeted). Instead, Diggs may just be the luckiest corner, as “right place, right time” should be his new mantra.

Arizona Cardinals now have a blueprint if they face Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs

Arizona was moving the ball against Dallas pretty easily, and the defense kept the Cowboys from being the juggernaut they were the week prior well into the fourth quarter. Had it not been for a despicable all-out blitz call from defensive coordinator Vance Joseph on third and goal (which led to the Cowboys‘ first 4th quarter score), this game wouldn’t have been that close,

However, the playcalling can be improved. The sequencing from Kliff Kingsbury should prevent this team from getting in a third and seven or more. Arizona is terrible when they get to third downs like these, as they are currently 4/37 on third downs of that range. That makes for just about 10.8 percent of the time they’re converting.

Run the ball on first down and save your effective passing plays for when truly needed. Finally, please don’t go for two again in the third quarter when it makes no sense. Just take the points; otherwise, the game will end up like the one against the Colts.
