The Arizona Cardinals travel to Los Angeles to face the Rams for a showdown with the season on the line. What are their favorable matchups this week?
While the Arizona Cardinals struggled in recent weeks, including a 1-4 finish to the season, they proved in Week 4 they could handle the Los Angeles Rams inside SoFi Stadium. The Rams, on the other hand, had a hot final month to the season before losing last week in overtime to the San Francisco 49ers.
To compound things for the Rams, they also have Matthew Stafford on the injury report. However, they also saw the grand return of featured back Cam Akers, who was initially ruled out for the season with a ruptured Achilles.
The Cardinals‘ top three running backs are also listed on the injury report, but they may get some help on defense with the potential return of J.J. Watt. The Cardinals have also played well on the road at numerous times during the season, with or without some of their key starters in the lineup.
