5 potential landing spots for Cardinals RB James Conner in 2022

Pittsburgh Steelers
Before James Conner signed with the Cardinals last year, he spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. After Conner signed with Arizona, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was reportedly “heartbroken,” that the team wasn’t able to figure out a way to re-sign the running back.
With Tomlin still leading the charge in Pittsburgh, Conner returning to his former team probably wouldn’t shock too many people.
Chicago Bears
Like the Jaguars and Dolphins, the Bears will have a new head coach for the 2022 season. Matt Eberflus was hired in January to be Chicago’s new head coach after spending the last four years as the defensive coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts.
In their first offseason with Eberflus as their head coach, the Bears are going to have a good amount of money to spend in free agency. With almost $29 million in cap space, Chicago could be interested in using some of that cash on a running back like Conner to help improve an offense that ranked 30th in the red zone last season.
