3 scenarios for the Cardinals at receiver during the 2022 offseason

The A.J. Green experiment delivered so-so results. He logged 54 catches and 848 yards. But he didn’t wow the Cardinals, and he didn’t do enough to warrant a long-term deal. The Cardinals are better off letting Green walk and bringing in younger talent should they take this route.
There are big names available like Chris Godwin and Davante Adams. But conventional wisdom tells us they will re-sign with their current teams. Other free agents include Mike Williams, Michael Gallup, and Allen Robinson.
Odell Beckham is also out there, but when will he be ready to play after sustaining a serious knee injury in the Super Bowl? Pro Football Focus also ranked Antonio Brown as the No. 7 receiver. But following last season’s outburst, he’s a major risk for any organization.
The free agency scenario is the least desirable for the Cardinals. Ideally, the team keeps their nucleus intact while they try to exorcise their second-half demons.
But, it’s hard to keep everybody. So the likeliest scenario would entail holding onto one or two players, drafting another, and signing at least one more.
