The Arizona Cardinals will need to take a run at the NFL’s top-tier free agents if they hope to reach the next level in 2022.

For a while there in 2021, the Arizona Cardinals looked like the best team in professional football. Unfortunately, the squad’s weaknesses surfaced towards the end of the year, and the front office realized they’d have their work cut out for them during the coming offseason.

One way to alleviate the problem is to add an influx of talent to the roster. Mediocre acquisitions just won’t cut it if the Cards really plan on getting to the next level. General manager Steve Keim will need to set his sights on the league’s top free agents when the signing period gets underway next month.

There are plenty of premier players who’ll be looking to get paid when the new league year begins on March 16, assuming that the organizations they’re employed by don’t slap them with the franchise tag. The following are five individuals who, if acquired, would instantly improve the Cardinals in 2022.
