Sixth Round (Pick No. 179)

Lamont Gaillard – C (Georgia)

Lamont Gaillard continues to toil on NFL rosters, having spent time on the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad in 2021. However, in the desert, Gaillard’s tenure was, at best, boring.

He saw no action in 2019 before debuting with the Cardinals in September 2020 when an injury to Mason Cole forced him into the lineup. He started two games that season and appeared in 13, often playing like a sixth-round pick.

Overall, most Cardinal fans will not remember Gaillard’s name unless they watched him in his first career start against the then-Washington Football Team. While Gaillard can still salvage his NFL career, odds are he won’t be in the league much longer.

Grade: C –

Gaillard showed the coaches enough to keep him on the roster and they even trusted him enough to start. Other than that, Gaillard was the classic hit or miss (mostly miss) prospect you’d expect as a sixth-round pick.
