Matt Prater, Andy Lee, Aaron Brewer

Long-snapper Aaron Brewer re-signed with the Cardinals earlier in the offseason and figures to hold down the job throughout training camp. Prater and Lee are aging and you can expect the Cardinals to bring in at least one more leg to push them in camp. But don’t think anyone will take their jobs this year.

Prater struggled last season, converting just 81.1 percent of his field goals. And while this was an improvement over 2020 during his final year in Detroit, his accuracy remains fringe. This will most likely be his final season in Arizona.

Andy Lee remains one of the league’s best, averaging 49 yards per punt, his best since 2016. But at 40, how much longer can the aging punter continue to produce at such a high level? Like Prater, look for Lee to stick out one final season in the desert before the Cardinals look to get younger at the position.
