Tight Ends (3)
Zach Ertz, Maxx Williams, Trey McBride
The Cardinals never utilized tight end well under Steve Keim, but that changed in recent seasons. They snagged Ertz in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles last season after Williams went down with a torn ACL. However, before his injury, Williams looked to be on pace for a breakout campaign.
This season, Ertz returns to the lineup as the clear-cut TE1. Even if Williams does not post great numbers as a pass-catcher, look for him to return to his role as a blocking tight end, which he was known for before 2021.
McBride won the John Mackey Award to cap off an outstanding 2021 campaign. The 260-pound Colorado State product impressed at the NFL Combine with a 4.55-second 40-yard dash. While McBride will probably start the season as the TE3, look for his snap count to increase throughout the season.
