15 all-time greatest draft picks in Arizona Cardinals history
The 13th-best Arizona Cardinals draft pick ever: Karlos Dansby
Part of the legendary 2004 draft class that ultimately changed the Arizona Cardinals forever, Karlos Dansby dashes to the 13th spot on this list. Dansby was the team’s second-round pick behind Larry Fitzgerald, with Darnell Dockett being taken after him.
Dansby wasn’t the most vocal leader of the team (perhaps Dockett or Anquan Boldin was), but he was always consistent. Dansby had 80 or more tackles from his second year in 2005 until his final season in 2017.
Dansby also played in Miami, Cleveland, and Cincinnati while having three different stints with the Cardinals. Dansby is also famous for “Dansby’s Dash,” which occurred in the 2009 wildcard game against the Green Bay Packers (that will always be the best wildcard game of all time, no debates).
“Los” as he was often referred to, will always hold a soft spot in the hearts of Cardinals fans. He is easily Arizona’s best linebacker, and if he didn’t spend his time in different cities, his stats would be even more impressive (43 sacks, 1077 tackles, 20 forced fumbles).
