Arizona Cardinals’ biggest breakout candidates
The Second-best Arizona Cardinals player to break out this season: Trey McBride
While his selection was a bit surprising, the dual-purpose tight end out of Colorado State has the best chances of any of the rookies to break out this season.
That’s not just due to his second-round pick status. McBride is naturally gifted with physical talent and abilities that have gotten him to this level. McBride will shine in the 12 personnel packages, allowing the offense to use the threat of James Conner and Kyler Murray’s play-action ability (please, Cardinals, just run play-action already).
On top of that, getting to work next to Zach Ertz, who has been one of the best tight ends in the league for some time, creates a combination anywhere on the field.
McBride could even be a sleeper add for an insanely deep fantasy league as well.
