The Arizona Cardinals top five highest-scoring games
5th highest Arizona Cardinals scoring game of all time: October 6th, 1963
The Cardinals were on the board first with a pair of rushing touchdowns from Bill Triplett and also added a rare 1-yard fumble return for a touchdown to take a 21-7 halftime lead. The Cardinals would obliterate the Vikings in the 3rd and 4th quarter with 35 total points, 28 of them came in the fourth quarter alone.
Arizona Cardinals QB Charley Johnson went 16/25 for 301 yards and three touchdowns.
4th highest Arizona Cardinals scoring game of all time: December 10th, 1925
Before we begin, this game was actually against the now-defunct Milwaukee Badgers. Since they were based in Wisconsin, the Packers’ logo got used instead. This was the infamous game that started the 1925 Championship controversy (the Cardinals’ backup quarterback convinced four high schoolers to sign with Milwaukee)
Those say that it belonged to the Pottsville Maroons, but they also had infractions of their own. It wasn’t until 1933 after the Bidwill’s had purchased the team that the Cardinals started to claim the title. Pottsville never contested for it, and thus the Cardinals were dubbed 1925 NFL Champions.
