This upcoming season for the Arizona Cardinals is quickly approaching.

It’s going to be exciting to see just what the upgraded version of Kliff Kingsbury’s Air Raid offense will look like.

Just how explosive can they become? If history indicates anything it’s that this offense has the potential to become one of the best  (if not the best)  in the NFL. Ever since Kingsbury and Kyler Murray joined the Cardinals in 2019, the offensive numbers have constantly improved.

The Cardinals finished 21st in Kingsbury’s and Murray’s first season with the team; but since then they have been among the top 10 units in the NFL ranking 6th in 2020 and finishing with the 8th ranked unit last season.

Can The Arizona Cardinals Offensive Line Hold Strong?

The offensive line is solid and is anchored by one of the best centers in the league in Rodney Hudson. Good thing that Murray is a mobile quarterback with blazing speed which will allow him to escape the pressure whenever the line breaks down.

Look for Kingsbury to offset any weakness on the offensive line by using more 2-tight end sets by using veteran Maxx Williams who excels at blocking and rookie Trey McBride could also help.

The team also resigned Pro Bowl left tackle D.J.Humphries to a 3-year extension worth $50.94 million. He is an incredible athlete with long arms and good footwork for someone his size and has really polished his approach in pass protection.

A player to keep an eye on is tackle Josh Jones. Jones started in 12 out of 17 games last season which gave him the much needed experience in order to become a good rotational player. Even though he is often late on blocks and struggles to get to the 2nd level at times, he should be much improved with his strength and technique entering the season.

The Cardinals also signed Will Hernandez during the free agent signing period. He is adept at opening holes in the run game and he’s really good with the seal block because of how strong he is.

Hernandez had to endure coaching changes and unstable situations in New York which may have slowed his development but he enters a new atmosphere in Arizona where he will be surrounded by top tier talent which should make things easier for him.
