J.J. Watt gets two sacks

Watt didn’t get to quite take off in 2021, so expect a more productive outing from the Arizona Cardinals defensive end in 2022. He also knows that pressure is the key to stopping Mahomes, so look for Watt to go after the star quarterback all day, especially if edge rusher Markus Golden (Questionable) is unable to go.

While the 32-year-old Watt is not the player he once was, it doesn’t mean he cannot still enjoy effective performances. Such a performance will be on full display this Sunday when the defensive end shows he still has plenty left in the tank.

Watt’s two sacks will help the Cardinals keep this one close, and perhaps even pull off a potential upset against what remains one of the NFL’s most talented offensive powerhouses. With a potential weakness at edge this weekend, many expect Mahomes will have all day to throw, but Watt will be the one who changes that narrative.

Update: As of Sunday, September 11th, J.J. Watt will most likely be unable to go, so consider this bold prediction as one for Zach Allen if Watt does not play.

Overall, look for a high-scoring contest between two hot offenses when the Arizona Cardinals square off against the Chiefs. But just because it will be an offensive game, it does not mean cornerstones on defense will have tough outings.
