J.J. Watt/Michael Dogbe vs Orlando Brown

As of Wednesday, the Arizona Cardinals have listed J.J. Watt as day-to-day with a calf issue. So if he cannot go, look for Michael Dogbe to instead play the bulk of the snaps in Watt’s stead. Dogbe, who saw action in 16 games last season and started one, logged 27 tackles, two quarterback hits, and a sack.

He also played in 26% of the snaps, and has quietly become one of the Cardinals most pivotal backups on the roster. If they need his services, he will likely face Orlando Brown, one of the NFL’s premier offensive tackles.

The 6’8, 363lb Brown has made annual trips to the Pro Bowl since 2019, and he is one reason Mahomes remains one of the NFL’s most effective passers. It will be up to Watt, Dogbe, or a combination thereof, to outmaneuver Brown, get to Mahomes, and apply the pressure needed to force the All-Pro quarterback into making bad decisions with the football.
