The Arizona Cardinals head into Week 7 with the season at crossroads. Will they be able to sneak up and snag a win with their best player returning?

The Arizona Cardinals need a win and things have gotten so desperate within the organization, head coach Kliff Kingsbury even implied he’d give up playcalling. But before Kingsbury throws in the towel regarding his control over the offense, the return of DeAndre Hopkins from a six-game suspension may throw a wrench into those plans.

When Hopkins was on the field last season, the Cardinals put up 30-plus points in nearly every game. Newcomer Robbie Anderson is also reportedly debuting for the Redbirds tonight, and he will play in a small number of packages.

So is this duo going to be enough to light up the scoreboard? Either way, Hopkins’ return signifies the Cardinals may have a few good bets coming into tonight. Here are my three favorite.

1 – DeAndre Hopkins OVER 62.5 receiving yards (-110)

Hopkins will be the healthiest player on the field tonight and he should see little rust, having not missed a significant amount of time. With Zach Ertz playing and Robbie Anderson entering the game on certain packages, look for Hopkins to be open often. He should easily encroach the 62.5 mark in receiving.

2 – Arizona Cardinals to score LAST (-116)

The Cardinals have been the last team to score at home twice this season. And had it not been for Matt Ammendola’s botched field goal attempt, they may have been the last team to score in Week 5. Because they tend to put up more points in the second half, look for the Cardinals to score last, either in garbage time or if they’re lucky, to cap off a game-winning drive.

3 – DeAndre Hopkins TD Scorer Prop (+125)

While I’m not putting too much faith in the Arizona Cardinals offense, I will at least project Hopkins to have a big outing in his first game back from suspension. Earlier, I said he will supersede his projected 62.5 receiving yards, and now, I’m going to get bold and project he adds a touchdown. Even if the Cardinals can’t pull this one off, Hopkins will make his mark and put the league on notice.

Last week’s performance…

Last week, I was so sure the Cardinals would win that I went with the moneyline. And since they had gone 0 for 5 this season in scoring first, I went with logic and said the Seahawks wouldn’t just score first, but score first and lose.

Sadly, none of that occurred, and I went 0-3 in my best bets for the first time this season, dropping me to 10-8 in the category. Add in the prop bets, and I finished an abysmal 1-5 – this is what happens when I put full faith in the Cardinals – I end up losing big.

I am in the red for the first time in a while, sitting at just 21-22 overall on the year. Maybe tonight, I’ll inch closer into the green if Hopkins enjoys a big outing.
