Markus Golden – Outside Linebacker

A couple of months back, the Cardinals decided to take care of one of their most-loyal contributors. Keim tacked on an extra season to Markus Golden’s existing contract, a move that was done primarily to award a player who had performed well for “Big Red” in the past.

Anyone who has watched Golden this fall would have to agree that his best days are behind him. In his eight appearances (six starts), the 6 foot 3, 260 pounder has been credited with 22 tackles and just one measly sack.

In all honesty, Golden no longer deserves to have a prominent role with the Cards defense. There’s also a possibility that the “Junkyard Dog” will not be around long enough to collect on that extension he was handed back in September.
