Four members of the Arizona Cardinals roster are failing to live up to the money they’re being paid during the current campaign.

Year after year, the Arizona Cardinals find themselves up against the NFL’s salary cap. General manager Steve Keim takes the money he is allotted and doles it out in the best way he knows how.

Not every individual who is on Arizona’s payroll earns the salary they’re collecting, however. If everyone lived up to their contract, the Cards would’ve almost certainly brought home a Super Bowl championship or two to the “Valley of the Sun” by now.

We’re now 11 weeks into the current campaign, and there are several Cardinals who are underperforming. The following are four particular players who are basically stealing the organization’s money thus far in 2022.

Arizona Cardinals who are stealing money – Player #1, Rodney Hudson/Center

It seemed like the Redbirds practically had to beg Rodney Hudson to play this season. It’s quite possible that the 33-year-old knew that his body wouldn’t hold up, but the starting center decided to give it a go anyway.

As it turns out, Keim and the Cards should’ve allowed Hudson to retire. An issue with his knee has sidelined the anchor of the offensive line for the past six games, and it doesn’t appear that the three-time Pro Bowler will return anytime soon.

According to Spotrac.com, Hudson has a salary-cap hit of $12.6 million this fall. That’s a lot of cash for a veteran who’s best days are obviously behind him.
