A.J. Green – Wide Receiver

The timing for including A.J. Green in this piece may be a wee bit questionable, considering the fact that the 34-year-old wide receiver made two clutch receptions last Sunday. On a grand scale, however, the 6 foot 4, 207-pound Green has contributed very little to the Arizona offense this fall.

In the eight matchups (four starts) he has dressed for, Green has hauled in just 12 passes for an underwhelming 66 yards. The seven-time Pro Bowler’s one and only touchdown this year occurred during the Cardinals’ 27-17 triumph over the Los Angeles Rams last weekend.

In all fairness, Green’s $2.2 million cap hit won’t break the franchise’s bank. Still, the 5.5 yards per reception that the one-time star wideout has posted is bordering on pathetic.
