Arizona Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill should strongly consider replacing Steve Keim with the recently-fired Jon Robinson.

When examining what is wrong with the 2022 Arizona Cardinals, it’s not difficult to find the culprits for what has transpired. Kliff Kingsbury has received a bulk of the blame, but the man who hired Arizona’s latest head coach back in 2019 should also be on the hot seat.

Steve Keim has been handed more than enough time to turn the Cardinals into a winner. Michael Bidwill, the club’s owner, has been incredibly patient with much-maligned general manager. A change needs to be made, and it just so happens that a highly-qualified individual has emerged for the job.

Jon Robinson, the former GM of the Tennessee Titans who was fired this past week, is an intriguing replacement option for Keim. The dismissal of the 46-year-old Robinson was peculiar, considering the fact that the squad is a respectable 7-5 after 12 games. Many Cards fans would love to be sitting in Tennessee’s current position with five contests left to be played in the regular-season.

Keim has been heading the Redbirds’ personnel department since 2013, and has just three playoff appearances to show for it. Would Bidwill consider replacing the 50-year-old Keim with an attractive candidate like Robinson?

Jon Robinson would be a breath of fresh air for the Arizona Cardinals

Arizona has competed in 12 matchups this fall, and have emerged victorious just four times. The odds of “Big Red” making it into the NFL’s postseason tournament for a second-consecutive year are slim. It’s been a disappointing follow-up to the team’s 11-win performance from a year ago, to say the least.

The time has come for Keim to be relieved of his general manager position, and Robinson warrants consideration for the gig. There are those who feel that Bidwill has allowed his friendship with Keim to get in the way of business. The Cardinals simply need to proceed in another direction, and Robinson’s track record with the Titans speaks for itself.

Since becoming Tennessee’s top personnel evaluator back in 2016, Robinson has assembled four playoff squads. The Titans had also been crowned champions of the AFC South twice during his tenure, and never endured a losing campaign with Robinson at the controls.

Despite his firing, there’s no denying the winning atmosphere that the Tennessee native brought to the Titans. If given the opportunity, there’s a good possibility that Robinson could do the exact same thing for the Cards.
