It’s a battle between backup quarterbacks on Sunday afternoon when Colt McCoy and the Arizona Cardinals take on Brett Rypien and the Denver Broncos.

Oddsmakers expect this game to be a close one, as the Broncos are set as very slight 1.5-point favorites ahead of kickoff.

If you want my best bet for the game, check out my betting preview here.

In this article, I’m going to focus on player props. As you’re about to find out, I think you should wager on Arizona’s defense to shut down the Denver offense. Let’s jump into them.

Best NFL Props Bets for Cardinals vs. Broncos

  • Brett Rypien UNDER 18.5 completions
  • Jerry Jeudy UNDER 60.5 receiving yards
  • James Conner OVER 62.5 rushing yards

Brett Rypien UNDER 18.5 Completions

Bretty Rypien has only completed 57.2% of his pass attempts this season and 51.9% of his passes this season. I don’t expect the Broncos to try to win the game on his shoulders and even when he does throw the ball, I don’t expect him to complete many passes.

I’ll back the Cardinals defense in this one and take the UNDER on Rypien’s completion total.

Jerry Jeudy UNDER 60.5 Receiving Yards

If I don’t think Rypien is going to have a good game at quarterback, then that means I also don’t think his receivers are going to have a good game. Jerry Jeudy is averaging only 53.4 yards per game this season, so why is his total up to 60.5 with Rypien throwing him the ball?

The Cardinals pass defense has been solid lately, allowing only 6.3 yards per throw over their past three games.

James Conner OVER 62.5 Rushing Yards

There’s no doubt that the Broncos defense is one of the best in the NFL, but teams are able to run on them. The weakness of their team is their run defense as they rank 19th in opponent yards per carry, allowing teams to average 4.4 yards per rush against them.

That should set up James Conner to have a big game for Arizona.
