Trey McBride – Tight End

When Arizona used this year’s second-round choice on Trey McBride, the fans were under the impression that the highly-touted tight end would be utilized right away. After all, the “John Mackey Award” winner was considered the best prospect at his position in the country.

McBride was handed a huge opportunity back in Week 10, when starter Zach Ertz tore both the ACL and MCL in his knee. With the three-time Pro Bowler now done for the year, the 23-year-old McBride would surely become a vital part of the Cards’ passing game.

In his five starts since, McBride has hauled in 15 passes for 115 yards and zero scores. Not horrible numbers by any means, but the Cardinals were certainly expecting a heck of a lot more out of the ultra-talented McBride.
