Heading into the 2025 NFL offseason, the Arizona Cardinals had one clear need: defense. The Cardinals were lacking talent at just about every position, from the defensive line to the secondary.

Over the last couple of months, Cardinals general manager has thrown almost every bit of his resources at the defensive side of the ball.

The Cardinals signed difference-making free agents like Josh Sweat, Dalvin Tomlinson, and Calais Campbell. They spent nearly every draft pick on defense, adding potential stars like Walter Nolen and Will Johnson.

As Arizona's defensive overhaul has carried on, Kyler Murray and the offense have been largely ignored. As we've pointed out on Raising Zona, the Cardinals desperately need a field-stretching receiver.

According to one analyst, though, the Cardinals biggest remaining need is on the offensive line.

Analyst claims offensive line is Cardinals biggest need after draft

Fox Sports analyst Ralph Vacchiano believes that the Arizona Cardinals are in need of offensive line help as we inch closer to the start of the 2025 season.

In his article listing the biggest need for every team after the draft, Vacciano says of the Cardinals, "They spent a lot of money and picks beefing up their defense this offseason, which is right in coach Jonathan Gannon’s wheelhouse. But they still could use help on the offensive side, where they have plenty of weapons but questionable protection."

Arizona's offensive front looks almost exactly like it did at the end of the 2024 season. The only new member of the apparent starting five is former Cardinals third-round pick Isaiah Adams, a guard who is set to step in for current free agent Will Hernandez.

The Cardinals spent one of their seven draft picks on the offensive line, taking Texas guard Hayden Conner in the sixth round. Conner will likely serve as a backup in his rookie season. After the draft, Arizona picked up a few undrafted free agents along the offensive front.

The Cardinals offensive line received PFF grades in the top half of the league in both run and pass blocking in 2024. Kyler Murray was sacked 30 times, a passable number if not an ideal one. Arizona finished top ten in the NFL in both rushing yards and yards per carry.

So, is offensive line help really a need for the Arizona Cardinals after the 2025 NFL Draft? No, not really. But, outside of a deep threat at receiver, this team doesn't have any clear needs at this point.
