There are few things more exciting in an NFL offseason than a draft day trade. Teams often move up or down to select their top prospects. Typically, we see anywhere from 2-5 trades in the first round of the NFL Draft.

But what if all 32 teams traded their picks on draft day?

Sports Illustrated's Matt Verderame explored the question in a recent article. He composed a mock draft with each NFL team moving either up or down. While this situation would never actually happen, Verderame remained relatively realistic with each individual trade.

Arizona Cardinals trade up for Will Campbell in recent mock draft

At this point in the draft process, prospects are often linked to teams consistently. The field of potential first-round selections for each franchise narrows considerably, at least in the eyes of the media. Familiar names in Cardinals mock drafts include Kenneth Grant, Will Johnson, and Matthew Golden.

Will Campbell is not one of those familiar names.

Campbell has rarely been linked to the Cardinals, largely because he likely won't be available when Arizona is on the clock in the first round. In this scenario, though, Verderame has the Cardinals trading up to the 13th pick to select Campbell.

The proposed trade has the Cardinals sending picks 16, 115, and 225 to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for the 13th pick.

It seems unlikely that the Cardinals would seek to trade up, especially considering their limited draft capital. Arizona currently holds just six picks this year.

If, for the sake of the exercise, we choose to ignore the likelihood of the trade, Will Campbell is an appealing fit in Arizona's offense.

Campbell is viewed by many experts as the top offensive lineman in this year's draft class. He currently ranks 10th among all prospects in The Athletic's consensus big board.

While Campbell's tape shows technical excellence and impressive athleticism, many scouts have expressed concerns about his arm length. Campbell's arms were measured at 32 5/8 inches at the NFL Combine and 33 inches at his pro day. Who knew you could grow your arms in the span of a few weeks?

Because of concerns about his length, many scouts have projected a move from tackle to guard for Campbell. In Arizona's offense, he could immediately take on a starting role at guard. After Jonah Williams' contract expires, Campbell could take over the right tackle spot.

This specific draft-day scenario is unlikely. Still, it serves as a reminder that protecting Kyler Murray needs to be a top priority for Arizona moving forward. If the Cardinals can bring in a pass protector of Will Campbell's quality, they should strongly consider doing so.
