The Arizona Cardinals need help along the defensive line, and one name has emerged as the fans' preferred choice.

According to Pro Football Focus, Grant is the most popular pick for the Cardinals in their mock draft simulator. PFF has Grant ranked as the 17th-best player in the draft.

Grant's range among the kazillions of mock drafts we have seen is from the 10th pick to the 30th pick. The NFL Mock Draft Database consensus board has him 22nd, which would give Arizona the chance to draft him in the first round.

And it makes sense.

Kenneth Grant would be a home-run addition to the Cardinals' defense

Grant played in all 15 games with five starts during the Michigan Wolverines' 2023 national championship season. He had 29 tackles, five tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and one interception.

He helped anchor a stout defensive line with Mason Graham, an expected top-10 pick. Grant is 6-foot-4, 331 pounds.

In 2024, Grant was a third-team Associated Press All-American and second-team All-Big Ten. He started 12 games (32 tackles, 6.5 TFLs with three sacks).

Grant could be a similar anchor for a Cardinals defense looking for dramatic improvement over last year's 21st overall ranking and 20th against the run.

"Grant is a broad-bodied nose tackle whose tape can run hot and cold depending on the game and the types of blocks he's facing," writes Lance Zierlein of NFL.com. "Grant's game will finally come together in full when he's able to take his impressive physical attributes and impose his will on opponents."

Grant isn't the only prospect fans have pounded the table for, but if there is any agreement among fans and mock draft experts, it's that the Cardinals need to improve their defense.

Arizona only has six selections in next month's draft, which will be held in Green Bay. Trading down is a possible option, especially if the Cardinals can still land Grant.
