4 things the Arizona Cardinals must prove before preseason ends

Like all NFL teams, the Arizona Cardinals have some noticeable issues to work out over the final two weeks of the 2023 preseason.

4 - Players returning from injury are ready to roll

BJ Ojulari returned to practice last week, and Zach Ertz returns this week. Ojulari and Ertz are slated to at least be solid contributors this season for the Cards, so they need to make the most of their in-game reps, with Ojulari most likely debuting this week.

Ertz was cleared to return earlier in the week and is now off the PUP list, so he should see some in-game action before preseason ends. While he may no longer be the team’s TE1 given his age and the emergence of Trey McBride, Ertz is still far and away the second most talented tight end on the roster.

Overall, the issues outlined above are four of many that the Arizona Cardinals need to show us they worked out before the regular season begins. And they have until September 10th to at least make sure everything is pointing north.
