Five 2024 Cardinals' opponents who significantly improved after NFL Draft
By Brandon Ray
1.) Chicago Bears
When you talk about a team that took advantage of significantly increasing an offensive outlook, the Bears should be among the teams that are in the conversation. The Bears attacked this offseason after another failure last season. Ryan Poles started off free agency by signing D’Andre Swift from the Philadelphia Eagles that adds a pass-catching ability to the Chicago offense. Then the biggest wonder of the offseason in Justin Fields was eventually traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, giving the NFL the answer that USC quarterback Caleb Williams was on his way to the windy city. Poles would not stop there…he would add tight end Gerald Everett and then shockingly only gave up a 4th round pick in exchange for getting wide receiver Keenan Allen from the Los Angeles Chargers.
After selecting Williams with the first overall pick, the Bears had another first round pick (No. 9) that they stayed put at and drafted another star wideout in Rome Odunze. In just one offseason, the Bears have significantly improved their offense and we should see a higher passing attack this season that the Cardinals’ defense will have to try and defend.
