2 - Will Garrett Williams contain Puka Nacua?
Puka Nacua has been the biggest steal of the 2023 NFL Draft and he’s given opposing secondaries nightmares all season. However, you can also call Garrett Williams a steal, given his production over the first five games of his career. And today, Williams will be one of several defensive backs tasked with trying to contain Nacua.
You may ask whether it’s better for Williams to go up against the returning Cooper Kupp. However, Kupp may not be as effective this week since, even if he’s playing, it seems like the effects of his most recent ankle injury are lingering.
Therefore, Nacua looks like the bigger threat going into this game in foresight. If that doesn’t change, then Williams must contain the rookie sensation. The good news? Williams has virtually taken away receivers that he’s been tasked with covering over the past two contests, so he has a chance to get the best of Nacua.
