2 - Mike Morris, DE

I had a red flag around Mike Morris as it was, since he logged just 25 games at the collegiate level and his production was not impressive. And while posting dynamic numbers isn’t everything, this is a player who has just 40 career tackles over his collegiate career, though in 2022, he did have 11.0 behind the line and 7.5 sacks, so maybe there is some progress here.

Overall, Morris could have used the Combine to erase concerns about his production. Unfortunately, he did not, and it started with his 4.95-second 40-yard dash. In case you’re wondering, he clocked in at 6’6, 275lb, so there’s no excuse for his slow time. He was also rigid and didn’t even look remotely ready for the ensuing position drills.

A few seasons back, the Arizona Cardinals took a questionable prospect at defensive end named Robert Nkemdiche. They don’t need to make the same mistake twice. Stay away from this kid.
