Will the Arizona Cardinals sign T.J. Edwards?

And finally, just as Kyzir White is familiar with Gannon, so is T.J. Edwards. Under Gannon, Edwards excelled, logging 289 combined tackles in 2021 and 2022. Like Kyzir White, he won’t make many splash plays, but he’s a definite sure tackler who could also line up alongside Collins while Simmons plays all over the defense.

Also like White, Edwards knows the system Gannon and defensive coordinator Nick Rallis will bring in. This would make him an immediate contributor, and he’s still young enough to forge a dynamic duo with Collins.

Overall, any of the above linebackers would make great fits for the Arizona Cardinals defense. But Edwards, given his tackling machine production, might be the best of the bunch. Having a player like Edwards in the desert will help ease the transition from Vance Joseph to Gannon and Rallis, and that could pay dividends for 2023.
