The NFL schedule is finally out. We now know the full slate of games set for the Arizona Cardinals in 2025.

At first glance, there's one matchup that sticks out. In Week 9, the Cardinals will take on the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football. Arizona rarely gets put in primetime games, so this is a chance for them to show the country exactly who they are.

Arizona Cardinals get Dallas Cowboys in juicy primetime matchup

The Arizona Cardinals have more primetime games than they've had in years. It's only two, but you take what you can get.

One of those two games will come against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9. The game comes after Arizona's bye week, so they should have plenty of time to prepare for Dallas. Meanwhile, the Cowboys have two games against playoff teams leading up to their battle with the Cardinals.

While the Cowboys are one of the most popular franchises in all of sports, they aren't exactly a top-tier football team. They've shown little more than regular season success in recent years, and even that has started to slip away. In 2024, they won just seven games and missed out on the playoffs for the first time since 2020. Of course, Dak Prescott's injury greatly affected those results.

These are two teams headed in opposite directions. The Cardinals have been quietly gaining momentum as a future playoff mainstay, while the Cowboys are little more than a rotting house with a fresh paint job.

As much as narratives can be the focus of NFL coverage over the summer, these games will be decided on the football field. The Cardinals will have to outplay the Cowboys under the bright lights of Monday Night Football. If they do, they can let the country know that they mean business in 2025.
