With the full release of the 2025 NFL schedule, we have a clearer picture of the season outlook than we've ever had. We can start to project the path each team might take, and which games they might win and lose.

So much could change between now and the beginning of the season that it's borderline pointless to make win-loss predictions at this point. Bleacher Report went and did it anyway. Arizona Cardinals fans might not like what B/R thinks of their season outlook.

Bleacher Report makes discouraging Arizona Cardinals prediction after schedule release

Among Arizona Cardinals fans, hype has been building since their stellar NFL Draft about a potential playoff run in 2025. For the first time in a while, there is real optimism about what the Cardinals could do this season.

Bleacher Report analyst Moe Moton is here to shoot that optimism down.

In his article predicting the final records of every NFL team in the upcoming season, Moton has the Cardinals finishing 10-7.

Sure, a 10-7 record wouldn't be all that bad for Arizona. In fact, it would be their best finish since 2021. It may even be enough to earn the Cardinals their first playoff appearance since that 2021 season. But it's still worse than the expectations that many fans currently hold.

Moton does give some sound reasoning for his mediocre prediction. He points out Arizona's weakness along the offensive line, saying, "Right now, that unit is a question mark, with a few average interior linemen between Jonah Williams, who's coming off an injury-shortened season, and ascending left tackle Paris Johnson Jr."

How many games will the Cardinals actually win?

In reality, the Cardinals aren't even guaranteed to reach double-digit wins. While the start of their schedule is full of low-quality teams, the final stretch is a gauntlet of playoff hopefuls ready to put an end to Arizona's dreams. In their final six games, the Cardinals could realistically take five losses. That necessitates a near-perfect start to the season.

Taking a look at the Arizona Cardinals schedule, it's reasonable to expect the strong start the team needs to push for the playoffs. Hopefully, the Cardinals can hold a 6-1 record entering their bye week, with a potential loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 7.

With an optimistic outlook, Arizona could enter Week 13 at 8-3. With consecutive games against the Buccaneers, Rams, Texans, Falcons, Bengals, and the Rams again, late-season wins will be hard to come by. To secure a playoff berth, the Cardinals will likely have to win at least three of those games.

With the full picture in mind, Bleacher Report's 10-7 prediction may not be far off.
