Best in NFC in Arizona This Weekend? I Think Not

Although I wish that was true of your Arizona Cardinals, the self-proclaimed "best team in the NFC"  Tampa Bay Bucs are headed to Arizona this weekend.  I don't think they are the best though, but you have to give it to Tampa Bay's head coach Raheem Morris for putting it out there.  Now his team has to back it up.  Personally, I don't think they do.

Here is who I currently believe the top five are in the NFC:

5. Washington Redskins

4. Tampa Bay Bucs

3. Green Bay Packers

2. Atlanta Falcons

1. New York Giants

Yeah you read right, the Packers are in the top five and the Seattle Seahawks aren't.  I think Seattle is a weak 4-2 team.  Obviously they are better right now than Arizona because they beat them head to head, mainly because the Cards shoot themselves with turnovers.  They lost to the St. Louis Rams 20-3 in St. Louis, a place Derek Anderson actually won 17-13, so who knows who is best in the west?  We will find out as the season goes along.  We probably will know more after Seattle makes a trip to Arizona in a couple of weeks.

As for Tampa, well their record is one of the best as well, like Seattle.  Doesn't make them the best team in the NFC.  It is a bottom line league though.  If they continue to win, no matter how they do it, maybe they are one of the best.  I still think the Giants get that distinction right now.  The Packers have been decimated by injuries and they still beat the Minnesota Vikings the other night in a good game.  There is still a lot to decide though.
