· The Cardinals are particular deep at the tight end position, which is a perfect for third-and-short situations. Yet it seems that Kolb rarely looked for his tight end when faced with this situation, opting to go to Larry Fitzgerald in the slot instead. · To his credit, Kolb smartly threw the ball away several times rather than risk an interception or a sack. I do feel that if given enough time and a chance to stay in the pocket longer, Kolb can be deadly accurate and will virtually always find an open receiver. The problem is he hasn’t had the luxury of having a lot of time to throw in any of his first four games.
